A Steampunk Wedding

A Steampunk Wedding

I had the pleasure of shooting my first wedding on Saturday, October 17th in Carrollton, GA.  Christine and James were an unconventional bride and groom and described the event as steampunk themed … they wanted a Victorian look with a modern flair.  I was immediately intrigued and was super excited to try out my new Olympus PEN’s grainy black-and-white and pinhole filters.

The wedding was set on an immaculate estate just shy of downtown Carrollton.  The good news was there was cloud cover all day that provided a beautifully diffused light.  The bad news was it was the first cold day of fall … and the wedding was outside.  Fortunately the rain was held at bay and I caught some wonderful moments.  All in all, a wonderful experience shooting my first wedding.  Plus, it provided some images that stretched me out of my usual portfolio, which is always welcome in my book.
